SABC Foundation extends a helping hand in Matile
SABC 1 Mzansi Fo Sho will embark on a Regional School Drive to lend a helping hand to selected under-privileged schools across Mzansi’s regions.

The help will come in the form of much-needed supplies including toiletry, bedding, furniture, office equipment, shoes, food, and other essentials meant to improve the living conditions of the students and create the right atmosphere for learning to take place.
The SABC 1 team, consisting of both staff members and talent selected from popular shows will travel to the regions as follows:
North West – Mafikeng - Thurs 15 & 16 March 2018: Itshokeng Learning Centre and E.H. Mogase.
“SABC1 considers giving back an integral part of the channel’s DNA and by extension the fiber of the corporation via the SABC Foundation. This particular initiative focuses on schools from Grade R to matric for previously disadvantaged individuals who require basic needs. Our aim as SABC1 is to restore dignity in the lives of the youth of the country and to encourage the tradition of giving back,” says Phuthi Moloto, SABC 1 Brand Manager behind the campaign.
“The activations will also provide the youth in the regions an opportunity to experience the vibrant SABC 1 brand first hand through interacting with their favourite television personalities.” She adds.”
Favourite SABC 1 personalities from the channel’s key shows such as Generations, Skeem Saam, Ingozi, Mzansi Insider, Mi Kasi Su Kasi, Stumbo Stomp will be in attendance at the various regional activations accompanied by exciting fresh faces who recently joined the Mzansi Fo Sho family.
Available personalities who will be spread around selected regions include: Luyanda Potwana (Nyan Nyan); Buhle Maseko, Lesego Marakala & Cedric Fourie (Skeem Saam); Rorisang Thandekiso (Mzansi Insider); DJ Buckz (Stumbo Stomp); Gabisile Tshabalala (#TBT);Thabo Mkhabel (Skeem Saam); Senzo Radebe (Ingozi); Brenda Mhlongo (Generations); Viwe Gxwala (Identity); Jaqcui Maphala & Mxolisi Masango (Expressions); Sthembiso Dliwayo (Mi Kasi Su Kasi) and many more.
