Motsweding FM Cares For Tomorrow's Leaders At Marumoloa Middle School
Considering the increased interest in cause related marketing Motsweding FM had opted to Kick-started the Birthday Month activations with a launch of a 2 months long Winter School Campaign Drive with an aim of improving the quality of life in developing disadvantaged communities to promote education. The station launched the School Winter Campaign in Potchefstroom on the 2nd of June 2016 as way of celebrating 54th years of excellent broadcasting.
The winter campaign was a Uniform and School shoes distribution drive aimed at keeping South Africa’s vulnerable primary school kids warm during the cold winter months.
Sibusiso Gumbi Acting Marketing Manager said: The station has opted to implement the Winter School Drive campaign as it is the only campaign that can give dignity, pride and hope to the destitute during the winter season. We believe that the cause related marketing campaign is demonstrable, has positive developmental impact hence the station management is greatly contributing to the livelihood of communities within our footprint through CSI projects. Listeners choose radio station that positively impact their community or doing things outside their walls that matters to more people. Therefore, it was important to include CSR in the station’s Birthday month strategic plans. By enhancing the SABC goals and vision that goes beyond broadcasting and profits will definitely provide a warmer image for the station that listeners will be more eager to engage with.
The station donated school uniforms and school shoes to the total number of seven schools residing in Gauteng and the North West.
