MOTSWEDING FM Masquerade Ball Competition
Terms and Conditions
1. The competition will run from Monday, 7 September 2026 to Friday, 11
September 2026. The overall winner will be announced on Wednesday, 16
September 2026.
2. The competition is open to all South African citizens, except directors, members,
partners, employees, agents, service providers and consultants of the SABC, as
well as their spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, business partners
or associates.
3. Entrants must have a valid South African identity document and reside in South
Africa.
4. The competition will be conducted across selected Motsweding FM shows,
namely Thagamoso, Kgolo, Tadi a Amusa and Afternoon Drive.
5. Listeners will participate in a series of Masquerade, Travel Bela, Sun City, and
Motsweding FM-related trivia questions.
6. The competition will consist of True or False questions and one-word-answer
questions.
7. During the initial stage of the competition, listeners will participate through the
respective shows. Each participating show will select a winner to represent the
show in the next stage of the competition.
8. The competition will culminate in a semi-final on Friday, 11 September 2026,
during Tadi a Amusa.
9. The semi-final will consist of two face-offs:
Round 1: Thagamoso vs Tadi a Amusa
Round 2: Kgolo vs Dia Boa
10. The winners of each semi-final round will progress to the final stage and become
the two finalists.
11. The two finalists will compete for the grand prize in the final face-off.
12. The overall winner will be announced on Wednesday, 16 September 2026.
13. Only listeners who correctly answer the competition questions and comply with
the competition mechanics will be eligible to win.
